Our mission and approach

Synergy Transitional Housing Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, structured transitional housing and wraparound support to individuals returning to the community from prison, treatment, or homelessness. Our team brings together lived experience, behavioral health expertise, and community partnerships to create a stable foundation for long‑term change.

We believe every person deserves dignity, second chances, and access to the tools needed to rebuild a meaningful life. As a nonprofit, we are mission‑driven rather than profit‑driven, reinvesting our resources into housing, behavioral health services, intensive outpatient programming, case management, and job support so participants can successfully reenter society.

Our core beliefs are that change is possible, housing is healthcare, and no one should have to navigate reentry alone. We believe accountability and compassion go hand‑in‑hand: residents are supported, challenged, and encouraged to take ownership of their recovery, their choices, and their future. We also believe in collaboration with probation and parole, treatment providers, employers, landlords, and community partners to create safer communities and reduce recidivism.

Our program works on three levels:

Assistance:

Direct support through housing vouchers, treatment, case management, and job placement so people can stabilize quickly after release.

Awareness:

Education for landlords, employers, and community partners about the benefits of second chance hiring and reentry housing, including safer neighborhoods and a stronger local workforce.

Incentive:

Building win–win partnerships where housing providers and businesses receive reliable support and more prepared tenants and employees, while the community benefits from reduced recidivism and lower public costs.
